EDUCATIONAL PROFILE SCREENING (age 7-18)
Is your child finding learning challenging or showing signs of dyslexia, but you're not sure what to do next?
Our Educational Profile Screening offers a calm, low-pressure introduction to the assessment process.
It’s ideal for parents who want expert guidance and an early indication of whether further investigation or support may be needed.

Whether your child is beginning to struggle with reading and spelling, losing confidence, or showing traits that raise questions about their engagement in learning, this service is designed to give you clarity and practical next steps.
What the Educational Profile Screening Involves

1. Parent and/or Student Consultation (30 minutes)
A relaxed, informal meeting (either in person or online) to explore the learner’s educational journey to date. We’ll discuss strengths, challenges, and any relevant background or school experiences. This conversation helps ensure the screening session is appropriately tailored to the student’s individual needs and context.

2. 1:1 Screening Session (60–90 minutes)
A supportive, one-to-one session using engaging, age-appropriate tools to explore factors that may be influencing the student’s educational progress. This may include:
-
Reading fluency and accuracy
-
Spelling and written expression
-
Working memory and processing speed
-
Attention, focus, and cognitive stamina
-
Confidence, motivation, and attitude to learning
The aim is to build a well-rounded picture of how the student learns, not just what they know.

3. Written Summary Report (1-2 pages)
A clear and concise summary report is provided, outlining key strengths and areas of difficulty. It includes practical, tailored recommendations for support at school and at home, and can be used to inform next steps or shared with teachers and SEND professionals as needed.

4. Post-Screening Consultation (30 minutes)
We’ll meet again to review the findings, answer any questions, and discuss next steps. This is an opportunity to reflect on the report and explore personalised support strategies that can be implemented immediately.
