Specialist Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Support in East Sussex & Kent
We work with families and learners across Robertsbridge and the wider Rother area of East Sussex. Many of the people we support travel from nearby villages including Burwash, Northiam, Hurst Green, Bodiam, and Etchingham for specialist dyslexia screening and full diagnostic assessments.
Dyslexia South East provides specialist dyslexia assessments for children, young people, and adults in Robertsbridge and the surrounding East Sussex area. Our assessments help identify learning differences and provide clear guidance on the support needed to help individuals thrive in education and beyond.
We regularly support families and learners from Robertsbridge, Burwash, Northiam, and Hurst Green who may be experiencing difficulties with reading, spelling, memory, or concentration. All assessments follow current SASC guidelines and are carried out by fully qualified specialist assessors with extensive experience in education and SEND.

Our comprehensive assessment reports are recognised by schools, colleges, universities, and examination boards. They can support applications for exam access arrangements, Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA), and other forms of educational support.
Assessments take place by appointment only, allowing us to provide a calm, supportive one-to-one environment where each individual can feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.

Director, Founder and Lead Assessor
Trudy Golding
Based in East Sussex, Trudy has over 30 years teaching experience and is a qualified and highly experienced SENCO, specialist dyslexia teacher, and Level 7 qualified dyslexia assessor. She holds the AMBDA qualification and is a member of PATOSS.
Trudy specialises in identifying learning differences and producing clear diagnostic reports with practical recommendations.
She has extensive experience working with complex learning profiles and co-occurring needs, helping learners better understand how they learn and access the support they need.
Trudy is also the driving force behind Dyslexia South East CIC, our not-for-profit community project.
Dyslexia Specialist
Emma Blackburn
Currently based in Kent, Emma is a highly experienced specialist dyslexia assessor who trained at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Emma has extensive experience assessing for the British Dyslexia Association and through her own consultancy, supporting families and adults across East Sussex and Kent.
Emma is passionate about creating opportunities for learners with specific learning differences and helping individuals better understand their learning profile.
Emma's assessments focus on identifying strengths as well as areas of difficulty, with clear guidance to support learners in education and everyday life.
